BesucherInnen / Visitors

Tourism Infos
Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom)
Cologne Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a stunning Gothic masterpiece and one of the tallest cathedrals in the world. It houses the Shrine of the Three Kings, said to contain the relics of the biblical Magi. Climbing its tower provides a breathtaking view over the Rhine and cityscape.
Museum Ludwig
Known for its exceptional modern art collection, Museum Ludwig features works by Picasso, Warhol, and Lichtenstein. It’s particularly renowned for one of the largest collections of Pop Art outside the U.S. and offers visitors a glimpse into 20th-century art’s avant-garde movements.
Hohenzollern Bridge (Hohenzollernbrücke)
This iconic bridge, adorned with countless love locks placed by couples, is a prime spot for photos of the Cologne skyline and Cathedral. Pedestrians can cross the bridge for free, and it’s especially scenic at sunset with views over the Rhine.
Old Town (Altstadt)
Cologne’s Old Town is charmingly filled with colorful medieval buildings, narrow cobbled streets, and traditional breweries serving Kölsch, the city’s beloved beer. The area is rich in history, with Roman remnants and quaint squares, and it’s perfect for a scenic stroll or a café stop.
Chocolate Museum (Schokoladenmuseum)
For something sweet, the Chocolate Museum offers a journey through the history of chocolate, from Aztec cocoa rituals to modern chocolate production. Highlights include the giant chocolate fountain and hands-on exhibits, making it fun and educational for visitors of all ages.
Each of these sites offers something unique about Cologne, from its artistic and historical depth to its vibrant cultural life.

Rules and Field
The rules are based on the IFBA rulebook from 2024 with two exceptions:
1) MTA 100 (1 of 5)
The boundary for throw and catch is inside the 100m circle
2) Trickcatch 100
The event is based on the IFBA rules except:
– 1 point for every „anycatch“. This can be because of a wrong made catch or on purpose. This rule applies to singles and doubling.
– in every doubling throw you can decide to throw just one boomerang. In this case you can only try the lower rated catch or an anycatch. (behind the back, left hand clean, right hand clean, one hand under the leg, eagle catch)
Statement:
The DBC introduced the new trick catch rules in 2022 to offer beginners more opportunities and give everyone a chance to receive points in tricky conditions. Judging is a little more demanding, but the throwers enjoyed the new challenge.
The European boomerang championships 2023 will be scored by using the relative scoring system.
Additionally we offer beginner rules for kids and newbies inspired by the british encouragement rules.
